Neiwan...
One of the loveliest places I’ve ever been to! On an official trip from my first company, went to Taiwan with my colleague who is my best friend now. On a weekend, he suggested that we could go to a place called Neiwan which has a hummock with a stream atop and we could spend the day trekking. We started early morning and reached the place. I was excited to go in a train in their country for the first time. As we reached the place, I could see the hummock on the other side of a big river. There were two ways to reach the other side – by road or by a suspended bridge. We chose the latter. The river had a very minimal water flow but the tune of the flow on the pebbles was a real feast to our ears. As we walked, could feel the bridge slightly swaying. I was bit scared, very thrilled but enjoyed the walk so much that to think of it even today, I do really long for a walk like that again. Few minutes after the walk, we reached the other side and started to trek up the hill. Just before we started, had fun taking pictures near a posh car to tell people later that it was we who drove it all along :) It was a small hill but I was feeling tired in a very short time. My friend had bought energy drink so could not scold him too for making me walk so much. We sat here and there and were climbing. As I was losing patience, he kept telling me about the stream that is lovely, only motivation that kept us going. In some time, we heard the water flow. Rest of the trek was so quick and as I had a glimpse at the stream, I told him, "U said it is a lovely stream, you never said it is this lovely". I was awestricken! Nature so serene with very less people around! We were there for a long time feeling the chillness on the rock and water and relishing the beauty of nature. The day I realized nature is at its best when untouched by humans…
